The GOCWC has work parties periodically to remove invasive plants and plant native species near our creeks and upland areas. Check our blog posts for upcoming events.
Attending and participating in the monthly meetings is important to learn what landowners and residents think are the important issues regarding watershed health. We all live in a watershed and improving its natural function to provide clean, cool water for vegetation, fish, animals and US is very important.
The GOCWC has been successful in securing grants to study and identify areas of high priority habitat that supports wildlife and areas that would benefit from restoration activities. In addition to grant funding, the GOCWC is a 501(c)3 non-profit and financial contributions are welcome. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
